Charlize teamed up for the first time in January with Tia Walsh to win Gold in the Queensland Beach Volleyball Championship held on the Gold Coast.

Over the past 12 months Charlize has represented Queensland in both U15 Indoor and Beach Volleyball Championships. She is being fast-tracked for Australian representation for indoor volleyball in 2019/20.
